Every new feature and improvement — explained in plain English. Click any release to read the details.
Every stop is a real ship date, pulled straight from our own build log — not a marketing timeline. Solid stops are live today; hollow stops are what's coming next, on the schedule we're actually working to.
Finding the right exam for a small class was harder than it should have been, sending results to parents needed a stronger safety net, and result cards deserved to look like a real certificate.
Setting up exam dates for every class one at a time was slow. Now you can schedule one class the way you normally would, then copy that same schedule to every other class in the school with a single click.
When importing students from a spreadsheet, you can now include a second parent (for example, both mother and father) and both get their own separate Parent Portal login.
A brand-new way to keep meeting notes with families, plus new review tools for two of yesterday's releases.
Four new areas for day-to-day teaching and school administration.
Onboarding mid-year? You can now bring in your school's past attendance records instead of starting from a blank slate.
Two small improvements to keep day-to-day use smooth and secure.
A behind-the-scenes reliability pass across the Reports Hub caught one real display bug.
Payroll now flexes to match how your school actually pays people, not just the standard fields. Add your own earning or deduction types, convert unused leave into a one-time payment, and see a department-wise summary before you approve payroll for the month.
Every class with more than one section can now have its own class teacher for each section, instead of sharing a single class teacher across the whole class. And when a new academic year begins, one click now carries your fee structures, teacher assignments, and timetable forward automatically — no need to set everything up again from scratch.
Entering exam marks has always told you how a student did. It didn't tell you what to do next. Now it does. Every time marks are saved, Sharada automatically checks each student against your school's performance bands — Needs Support, Satisfactory, Proficient, Advanced Learner — and flags anyone who needs extra help or extra challenge. No spreadsheets, no manual tracking, no student falling through the cracks between one exam and the next.
Schools have always had two sides to their finances — money coming in from parents, and money going out to suppliers for stationery, uniforms, books, transport, and maintenance contracts. Sharada already handled the first side well. Now it handles the second, so you don't need a separate spreadsheet or notebook to track supplier bills.
Some school networks and mobile data connections in India were blocking certain external services that Sharada relied on to load. This caused the app to get stuck on a loading screen with no way to proceed. All affected libraries are now hosted directly on Sharada's servers — no external dependencies — so the platform loads consistently on every network.
Several admin screens could get stuck on "Loading…" with no way to recover if there was a connection issue or unexpected error. All affected screens now detect the problem and show a clear message with a Refresh button. The main dashboard also now shows a smooth loading animation while signing you in, instead of a blank white screen.
When staff opened the Android app after logging in, they were taken directly to the attendance screen with no way to reach other modules. The app now correctly opens to the full dashboard, giving access to all modules — fees, students, payroll, reports, and everything else.
When staff opened fee collection on the Android app, the screen showed "Loading…" and never proceeded. This is now fixed — the page loads and all payment flows work correctly on the app, including cash, UPI, cheque, and online payment.
Schools in areas with unreliable internet can now continue taking attendance even when the connection drops. Records are saved on the device and sent to the server automatically the moment connectivity returns — with no data loss and nothing extra for staff to do. The Android app on Google Play brings these offline capabilities to any Android phone or tablet.
When a student returns a book late, the librarian now sees the exact fine amount on the return screen and can collect it right there — in cash, via UPI, or through Razorpay online. For books already returned with an unpaid fine, a "Collect Fine" button opens the same payment screen. This release also resolves three issues our testing team identified: fee receipts not appearing after partial payments, no visible progress when promoting or rolling back students at year end, and a parent portal invite failing for valid parent emails.
Parents can now tap Textbooks on their child's card in the Parent Portal to see all prescribed books for their child's class and board. NCERT books open as a PDF in a new tab — no download, no app needed. State board schools see a direct link to the official board website. Teachers and admins have the same catalog available from the school login under Textbooks.
Marking a class just got faster. On the homework marking screen there's a new Smart marking box: write the exceptions in plain English — "Rohan and Priya not done, Sara excellent, Amit late" — and tap Parse to set everyone in one go. It understands names (even small spelling slips), roll numbers and ranges like "1-10 done", and quality words like "excellent" or "needs work". On phones you can tap 🎤 Speak and just read the marks out. It all runs on your device — no student information leaves your phone or computer.
Homework is now two-way. Teachers can attach a worksheet — a PDF, photo, or Word, Excel or PowerPoint file — and paste a video link (YouTube or Google Drive) for anything that needs explaining. Parents open or download it from the portal. And when the work is done, parents can send a photo or PDF of the completed work straight back, with an optional note — the teacher sees it right on the marking screen.
Teachers can now assign homework to a class in under a minute. The moment it's saved, every parent gets a WhatsApp message with a link to view it in the parent portal — no app to install. Marking who completed the homework takes one tap for the whole class, and principals get a full picture of completion trends and which students and parents need a nudge.
When payroll is approved each month, every staff member automatically receives their salary slip by email — showing earnings, deductions, and net pay. When exam results are ready, principals can send result cards to all parents in one click directly from the Grade Entry page.
If a parent paid via a WhatsApp payment link but the fee still shows as pending, staff can now enter the Razorpay Payment ID directly and the system will verify the payment and mark the fee as received — no double-entry needed. The webhook URL shown in School Settings now displays the school's actual ID so it can be copied straight into the Razorpay Dashboard.
Several payment collection issues have been fixed. Fee receipts now show the full history of all individual payments with their reference numbers. Late fees are correctly included when opening the online payment window. The fee overview page now shows accurate totals when you return to it after making a payment.
A browser security setting was preventing the Razorpay payment window from opening in some environments. This is now fixed — the payment modal and WhatsApp payment links work correctly on all standard internet connections.
Sharada now integrates with Razorpay so schools can collect fees digitally. There are two ways to use it: staff can open a payment modal on the spot while the parent is present, or generate a secure payment link to share on WhatsApp for the parent to pay from home. Every payment generates a GST-compliant receipt automatically.
Two security and access improvements this release. Class teachers now see only their own class's parent queries — so a teacher for Class 5A only sees messages from 5A parents, not the whole school. And staff who have resigned or been marked inactive are now immediately blocked from the system.
Parents can now see every message they've sent to the school in one place — including the school's reply — without waiting for an email. Admins and principals get a dedicated inbox to reply, close, and manage all parent queries.
Parents can now access a dedicated portal — no password needed, just a secure link sent by email. They can view fees due, attendance for the current month, and the latest exam results — anytime, from any device.
Attendance reports are now completely reliable across all schools and class sizes. The Fee Defaulters report, which was timing out for schools with a large number of fee records, now loads consistently.
Several screens that were taking 25-30 seconds (or failing to load entirely) now load in under 2 seconds. Attendance reports and student search were the main areas improved.
This release focuses on keeping your school's data safe and compliant with Indian regulations. Student Aadhaar handling has been upgraded, your data location is now clearly confirmed, and the platform now monitors itself around the clock for suspicious activity.
Some schools count holidays and weekly off-days that fall in the middle of a leave as leave; many don't. Now you can choose. A new Leave Policy setting under School Settings lets you turn the "sandwich" rule on if your school enforces it. It stays off by default, so nothing changes unless you switch it on.
When a staff member takes leave that spans a holiday or a weekly off-day (like a Sunday), those non-working days are no longer counted as leave. Only actual working days are deducted from the leave balance — and as long as there is enough paid-leave balance, no salary is deducted. This matches standard payroll practice and makes leave counting fair and predictable.
Attendance marking now accepts plain English. Type "All present except Rahul and Priya" or "Absent: Roll 5, 8, 12" and the system instantly marks the grid. On supported phones (Chrome/Android), you can also tap the microphone and speak — the text is transcribed and processed automatically. Works without internet, so it functions even when the school's connection is spotty.
The Academic Year setting in School Settings is now the single switch that controls which year all modules operate on. The current year is computed automatically and will update itself each April without anyone needing to change it. Fee structures can now specify which months they apply to, and fee receipts now show late charges as a separate line item alongside the school logo.
Monthly fees (like Tuition Fee) are now shown as a single collapsible row per student. Click the row to expand and see individual months with their paid/overdue status. The Fee Structures page now shows only the current academic year by default. Status filters (Overdue, Pending, Paid) now respond instantly without reloading the page. The demo school login was also restored after a platform security update.
The fee management page now opens instantly — the class list and totals appear right away without waiting for all student records to load. Once you pick a class, only that class's fees are fetched. Monthly fee entries now show the due date underneath the fee name, making it clear that each row is a separate month rather than a duplicate.
Teachers now see only their own schedule, time reports, and session history — other teachers' details are no longer visible. The attendance module now shows who last marked each class, and the main dashboard gives a full daily view of which classes have been marked.
When you set up a new class, the platform can now automatically suggest and fill in the correct subjects based on your school's board — saving you from creating subjects one by one.
Three major additions: a full activity log for compliance and data protection, holiday-aware attendance, and multi-book issuing in the library.
Every staff member can now manage their own account — update their name, phone number, and change their password — without needing to ask an administrator. We've also made it much clearer when something goes wrong: error messages now stay on screen until you dismiss them.
The timetable is now much smarter and easier to manage. You can edit existing entries, copy last year's schedule as a starting point, and print a clean copy for the staffroom wall. Schools can also now upload their logo from School Settings.
Fee totals and subscription plan details now show accurate figures across the board. Several behind-the-scenes data issues that could cause numbers to appear inflated have been resolved.
Principals can now broadcast announcements to the whole school team, and run the year-end class promotion for all students in a few clicks instead of updating each record individually.
You can now always see when Sharada is saving your work — a small indicator appears while records are being saved and confirms when it's done. We've also added a full Privacy Policy and expanded the Help section with answers to common data safety questions.
Several issues that were silently stopping staff from saving records or signing in have been resolved. Adding students, staff, and recording payments now works reliably for everyone.
Payroll data now shows correctly for all staff sizes. The platform has also been hardened against bots and spam — with no change to how staff use Sharada day to day.
Teachers can now apply for leave from within the platform. Principals get a morning dashboard showing exactly who is absent and which classes need a substitute — before the day starts.
Reports across fees and attendance are sharper and more accurate. The new Live Demo lets anyone explore a fully loaded school in seconds — no sign-up needed.
Every report your school needs — fees, attendance, exams, library, and a daily digest for the Principal. All available with one click, no spreadsheets required.
Send WhatsApp messages to parents and staff directly from Sharada. Role-based access ensures every staff member sees only what is relevant to their job.
Run monthly payroll for your entire staff in minutes. PF, PT, and TDS are calculated automatically. No more Excel sheets or manual tax working.
A modern school management platform built for Indian schools — from a single-branch school to a multi-campus chain.
