Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By registering for or using Sharada ("Sharada", "the platform", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are registering on behalf of an institution, you represent that you have the authority to bind that institution to these terms.

If you do not agree, do not use Sharada.

2. Description of service

Sharada is a cloud-based institution management platform for schools, colleges, and coaching centres in India. Features include student and staff record management, fee collection, attendance, payroll, exams, library management, timetable, and parent communication via WhatsApp and email.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for material changes.

3. Account registration

You must provide accurate information when registering your institution. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Ensuring that all staff you invite to the platform comply with these terms
  • Notifying us immediately of any suspected unauthorized access at [email protected]

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Sharada for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable Indian law
  • Enter false, misleading, or fraudulent data
  • Attempt to access another institution's data or compromise the platform's security
  • Use Sharada to send unsolicited bulk messages (spam) to parents or staff
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the platform's source code
  • Resell or sublicense access to Sharada without our written consent

5. Data ownership

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into Sharada — student records, staff records, fee data, attendance, and all other institution data. Sharada processes this data solely on your behalf and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By using Sharada, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process your data solely to provide the platform's services to you.

6. Subscription and payment

Sharada is offered on monthly subscription plans. Pricing is as published on our website. All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and exclude applicable GST.

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
  • There are no refunds for partial months
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to your registered email
  • Non-payment may result in suspension of your account after a 7-day grace period

7. Service availability

We aim for 99% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Planned maintenance will be announced in advance where possible. We are not liable for losses arising from downtime, data loss, or service interruptions beyond our reasonable control.

8. Intellectual property

Sharada and all its components — code, design, branding, documentation — are the intellectual property of Sharada Online. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the platform without our written permission.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sharada shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or business interruption.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of Sharada shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the 3 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate the subscription at any time. Upon termination:

  • Your access to the platform will be suspended at the end of the current billing period
  • You may request an export of your data within 30 days of termination
  • After 90 days following termination, your data will be permanently deleted

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately if you breach these terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

12. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify registered Super Admins of material changes via email. Continued use of Sharada after the effective date of updated terms constitutes acceptance.
